How to join in

Its easy. . . . . just come along and enjoy one of our Pleasure Rides.

They are called 'Pleasure' for a reason.  They are about having fun on your pony or horse and enjoying some of the most beautiful countryside our area has to offer, ride across country you are usually not allowed and generally having a pleasureable day our with your horse and meeting new friends!!
Non members are welcome to come and try our Pleasure Rides, ask questions and find out more about our sport.

Non members can join the Wessex Group as an Associate member, the benefits of this is that an Associate Member receives a Members Handbook, so you can learn more about the rules etc. and can enter all our Pleasure Ride classes at members’ rates.

Wessex covers the counties of Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire, so you are automatically linked to our groupbecause of where you live. Any friends living just outside our area can opt to become Wessex members, just by asking the Office to change their affiliation.

Wessex is one of the largest branches, both geographically and by number of members. Although Wessex members can choose to enter any rides throughout the country, they will automatically be eligible for Wessex end of season trophies, awarded mainly on performance at Wessex rides, at our Annual Awards Dinner.

You can also join EGB as a Full Member. You can then enter all rides for which you are qualified for throughout the country. Meet others with the same interest in riding and to compete, either modestly or seriously, locally, nationally or internationally. Receive regular newsletters containing updates, letters, features of specialist interest to endurance riders. An omnibus fixture list for the season, indicating where rides will be taking place, what classes and where to send entries. Third party insurance, Rulebook, the Constitution and your Membership Card. Special lower entry fees for members. Opportunity to accumulate mileage awards plus special awards in many categories which are awarded both nationally and at local branches.
